Garland Mattox would be the first to say the home she has created is a family affair.

“My mom is an artist and landscape architect, and two of my sisters are architectso. I love to paint and garden. We are always getting in each other's ‘stuff’ and telling the other ones what to do. Fortunately, my other sister is a counselor so she keeps us all in shape.”

Walking through the home Garland shares with her husband, Fleming, and their three children is like a crash course on the family's many talents and love for beautiful landscaping and inviting spaces.

They purchased the house in 1996 based on a love for the neighborhood and a beautiful creek that runs through the back of the property.

Now, after two major renovations and lots of additions to the existing landscape, the home is filled with lots of inspiration — and family, of course.
