The Cancer Society of Greenville County held its bi-annual Hope Ball at the Poinsett Club in downtown Greenville. It was a spectacular evening. The ballroom was just magnificent and the bar area was transformed into a tropical lounge.

The evening began with a cocktail reception. Charming young men and young ladies greeted us as we entered the Poinsett Club. Cocktails were served in the bar and on the beautiful patio. String quartets, jazz combos and pianists were all playing for our enjoyment. A three-course seated dinner followed. After-dinner dancing to the fantastic music of “Anita” lasted well into the night.

The Hope Ball is a special time to honor and remember those who have battled cancer and to applaud the generosity and support of businesses, corporations, foundations and individuals who contribute. The Cancer Society of Greenville County has been providing services to cancer patients in the Greenville community since l965. It was an evening full of hope.
